It’s been over two years since Liam Payne released his debut solo single Strip That Down, and ever since then, fans have been not so patiently waiting for his first album.

Well, good news guys – the wait is almost over.

Liam has confirmed his debut solo album LP1 will drop 6 December, and while some of the songs you’ll already know, there’ll be brand new music on there.

Well, we’d hope so, Payno.

The star is including all his previously released singles (Picture: PR)

The 26-year-old said: ‘I’m so excited to be releasing my debut album this December! I’ve had so many amazing experiences over the last few years which I’ve used as inspiration for this record – it’s been a real labour of love.

‘I’ve worked with some incredibly talented people in the studio to produce an album that truly represents me which I’m very proud of. Your support means the world to me and I can’t wait for you all to hear it.’

So who are those incredibly talented people? Just names like Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder, Zedd and Jonas Blue.

The rest of the tracklist features new songs Remember, Heart Meet Break, Hips Don’t Lie, Tell Your Friends, Say It All, Rude Hours, Live Forever (with Cheat Codes), Weekend, Both Ways and All I Want (For Christmas…) – which is a brand new festive tune, and not a cover of Mariah Carey’s classic, FYI.

This album news comes after Liam dropped an acoustic version of his most recent single Stack It Up.

He never stops, that boy.

LP1 is the fifth solo album from the One Direction boys after Zayn Malik’s Mind of Mine (2016) and Icarus Falls (2018), Harry Styles’ self-titled debut (2017) and Niall Horan’s Flicker (2017), while Louis Tomlinson has scheduled the release of his debut album Walls for January 2020.

The band itself released five albums – Up All Night, Take Me Home, Midnight Memories, Four and Made In The AM, the last of which was released in November 2015.

LP1 is out 6 December on Capitol Records.
