Liam Gallagher has made it clear he’s siding with Lewis Capaldi amid the Scottish singer’s feud with his estranged brother Noel.
During a new interview, the rocker – who’s been involved in a bitter feud with his brother since Oasis’ split in 2009 – admitted he was glad Lewis was ‘sticking it to our kid because our kid started it.’
The disagreement between the musician all began back when former Oasis star Noel felt the need to make a dig at Lewis during an interview.
He even went as far as to say that Lewis was an example of how rubbish pop music has become these days.
Lewis didn’t take it lying down and playfully mocked Noel on stage, which led to Noel stating that ‘f***ing Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes’.
He raged: ‘The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. It’s the greatest day of his f**king life so far.
‘He’s just thinking, “Wow!” Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that, but f**king hell!’
Lewis then pushed Noel’s buttons ever further by taking to the stage at TRNSMT with a chewbacca mask on, and even changed his profile picture and account name on Twitter to Chewis Capaldi.
And now Liam has added his two cents to the feud during his chat with BBC Radio 1’s Chillest Show with Phil Taggart and admitted Noel was ‘getting beaten in a lot of arenas.’
With regards to the Capaldi feud, he claimed his estranged brother ‘deserves what he’s getting at the moment.’
‘Listen, he wouldn’t mess with me, this Lewis Cap-whatever he’s called because I’m vicious but Zen at the same time. I met him (Capaldi) and he was cool and I’m glad he’s sticking it to our kid because our kid started it,’ he joked about Lost On You star.
Something tells us Lewis knows better than to start any beef with another Gallagher brother!
