Liam Gallagher donates signed parka to NHS coronavirus fundraiser

Liam Gallagher and Lewis Capaldi are among the stars to donate personal items to an NHS charity fundraiser.

Gallagher has given a number of items to the NHS Fest raffle, including a signed parka and pair of trainers, as well as tickets to future concerts and a tambourine.

Meanwhile, Capaldi donated a signed copy of his 2019 album, Divinely Inspired To A Hellish Extent.

Other prizes include a visit to the set of the sixth series of Peaky Blinders and the jacket worn by Arctic MonkeysAlex Turner at T in the Park in 2007.

The NHS Fest raffle looks to raise money to support key workers on the frontline in the battle against coronavirus by providing them with food and essential items during work.

Fans can pay £5 to be entered into the draw, with winners being announced on 21 April and all money going towards Help Our NHS.

The fundraiser proved to be so popular that the website crashed after opening on Tuesday, with the organisers forced to temporarily pause the event.

The website reads: “Sorry to say we’re going to have to pause the raffle for the moment – we did expect lots of interest, but it’s simply more than we could have anticipated! There isn’t a quick fix, due to current working from home restrictions, so please standby for updates.”
