Liam Gallagher performed a touching tribute to Keith Flint at his Glastonbury set last night.

The 46-year-old rocker performed on the Pyramid Stage at the iconic festival last night, in a set that combined his solo work along with hits from his band Oasis.

And it was when he closed his set with the band’s classic Champagne Supernova that he dedicated the moment to the late Prodigy singer, who died in March.

Addressing the crowd, Liam said: ‘Right, you’ve been amazing. This is the last song, I want to dedicate it to the one and only Keith Flint. Champagne Supernova. Look after yourselves, have a good night.’

The audience made sure to join in, as they sang along with Liam, as he performed the track over a piano.

After the poignant performance ended, he left the stage saying ‘in a bit’, which led to chants of ‘Liam, Liam’ from the crowd.

Liam also made sure to play Oasis’ other big hits throughout his set, such as Rock N Roll Man, Roll With It, and the band’s signature song, Wonderwall, while he joked ‘apparently this is s*** as well’.

He also dedicated his solo hit Greedy Soul to the late comedian Sir Ken Dodd, who died last year.

‘He was a f** beauty,’ he declared.

And he wasn’t done with the dedications just there.

The musician also paid tribute to Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, organiser Emily Eavis and an unwell girl in the crowd.

And he also sported an unusual choice of attire – a chequered hoodie paired with sunglasses – with the hoodie probably not being the best thing to wear in a heatwave.

But perhaps more appropriate than his trademark parka.

Glastonbury Festival continues tonight, with The Cure, Vampire Weekend and Miley Cyrus all set to perform on the Pyramid Stage.
