Liam Gallagher has dropped the lyric video for his latest single, Once.

And what a song it is.

The former Oasis frontman claims the track, which is the third single to be taken from his upcoming album, Why Me Why Not, is ‘one of the best songs I’ve ever had the pleasure to be part of.’

Taking to Twitter, Liam said: ‘Once is one of the best songs I’ve ever had the pleasure to be part of.

‘And believe you me I’ve sang on many a great tune. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. LG x.’

The song was co-written by both Liam and songwriter Andrew Wyatt, and is an acoustic-driven ballad.

The track is also available as an instant download to all fans who have pre-ordered a copy of Liam’s upcoming second solo album, alongside previous singles Shockwave and The River.

In the meantime, the singer has also confirmed that he will be taking part in an upcoming MTV Unplugged concert in Hull in August, where he is expected to play stripped-down versions of his solo tunes, as well as hits from Oasis’ back catalogue.

‘I’m honoured to be performing at the legendary showcase that is MTV Unplugged,’ he revealed on Twitter.

‘I’d love it if you could join us as it’s sure to be a biblical evening.

‘P.S. I Love Hull! LG x.’

Liam will join the likes of Nirvana, R.E.M, and even his own band, Oasis, who have all previously performed on the renowned MTV live shows.

The 46-year-old will also be embarking on a tour this November in support of his new album, where he is expected to play for tens of thousands of fans across the UK and Ireland.
