Lewis Hamilton has revealed his pet pup Roscoe is now living life as a vegan and loving it.

After switching up his dog’s eating habits, Lewis revealed to fans via Roscoe’s own Instagram page, that the canine is now ‘fully vegan’ and reaping the benefit of his cleaner, plant-based diet.

The Formula One ace, 35, shared the update via social media and posted a snap of Roscoe looking pretty pleased with himself while sprawled out on the floor.

Explaining all in the caption, Lewis added: ‘Hey guys, so Roscoe is now fully vegan. Since he has gone vegan, his coat is much softer, his swollen paws have healed up, he is no longer limping with pain of arthritis and his breathing has opened up.

‘Super happy with the results and he is too.’

Dog lover Lewis keeps fans up to date on all his dog goings-on via a page he set up for Roscoe and his late pooch Coco.

The account @roscoelovescoco is a must-follow for all the animal lovers out there wanting to get that all important doggo content, with Lewis often gushing about his furry pals online.

Although the page recently saw Lewis share his heartbreak, as he revealed his dog Coco had sadly died.

Paying tribute to her alongside a series of cute photos, Lewis explained that Coco had died of a suspected heart attack, despite his efforts to revive her.

He told fans: ‘Last night at around 9pm, my beautiful little girl Coco died at home with the family by her side. Her little heart gave in, we think it was a heart attack. I tried to revive her but it was no use.’

Finding comfort in Coco’s last moments, Lewis continued: ‘She’d had the best day, happier than I’d seen her in a long time. She was such a special dog, born with so many problems and I feel so lucky to have adopted her.

‘The lady who bread her said she was going to have to put her down as she wouldn’t be able to afford all the things she would need to survive, she went through a lot to become the bouncy, lazy loving dog she was.’

‘On her last day, we shared a special moment playing together which I will never forget,’ he said. ‘I will miss her snoring and how happy she was always to see me.’

Lewis said: ‘She was only 6, healthy and happy. Naturally, my heart is broken but i hope she’s in a better place with my Aunty Diane. Wanted to share with you and thank those of you who loved her, cared for her. #coco #restinpeace.’

He had adopted Coco shortly after adopting his first British bulldog, Roscoe, in 2013.
