Lewis Capaldi's Strictly Come Dancing performance sparks anger among his fans


Strictly Come Dancing’s audience sparked fury among Lewis Capaldi fans during his performance on the BBC show .

The Scots singer took to the stage during the first of the 2019 series’ results show which was broadcast on Sunday night.

Professional dancers Aljaž Škorjanec and Janette Manara performed their dance routine while the Bathgate singer performed his hit Someone You Loved.

However, many of his fans accused the the audience of ‘drowning out’ his performance as they cheered throughout.

Twitter user @wingman70298076 said: “How rude for the audience to be cheering the dancers while he’s still singing.”

@Mark_Furnell added: “Totally ruined by the audience woo’ing and whoop’ing. Please, please stop the audience making a racket during the guest appearance.”

@KathyCollins24 wrote: “Lovely singing, spoilt by all the shrieking from the audience. Something has to be done to reign them in, it’s spoiling the show.”

Many others were wowed by Lewis’ performance on the BBC show.

@strictlyloves commented: “I’m crying I loved that so much Lewis Capaldi is my fave and that dance was stunning.”

Lewis was unable to perform live on the show as he was playing a gig in Phoenix on Saturday and is due to play in Denver on Tuesday as part of his world tour .
