Lena Headey: ‘What the actual F**K’ Game of Thrones’ Cersei Lannister hits out

Lena Headey, 45,  who plays Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, uploaded a picture of comments reportedly made by Republicans in the United States, regarding rape.

One of the comments included one by Rick Santorum who said back in 2012: “Rape victims should make the best of a bad situation.”

When he made the statement, he said women in such a position should not get an abortion but instead welcome their “horrible gift from God”.

The Game of Thrones star expressed her outrage at the alleged quotes and captioned the post: “What in the actual F**K #stoptalking #shameonyou.”

It came after the controversial abortion law which was passed in Alabama this week, which outlaws terminations once “a foetal heartbeat” is detected.

Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy in the show, appeared shocked to see the comments and replied:: “Jesus Christ.”

One fan said: “I’m sick to my stomach.”

Another wrote: “I mean…..I just….. I can’t. I just can’t.”

Lena followed up the viral image with another one which has been doing the rounds on Twitter and Instagram.

The picture showed the words: “Men shouldn’t be making laws about women’s bodies,” repeated several times.

Lena’s co-star, Sophie Turner, uploaded the same picture and commented: “Shame on you. OUR BODIES OUR CHOICE.”

Today, Missouri’s state senate passed a controversial bill which would outlaw nearly all abortions at eight weeks of pregnancy.

The state joins Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio who have also recently passed new abortion restrictions.

After Alabama’s passing of a near-total ban on abortions in the state, singer, Rihanna posted a tweet which included the photo of the 25 white male senators who voted for the bill.

The singer wrote: “Take a look. These are the idiots making decisions for WOMEN in America. Governor Kay Ivey…SHAME ON YOU!!!”

Lady Gaga also described Alabama’s law as an “outrage” and “heinous” on Twitter.

She said: “So there’s a higher penalty for doctors who perform these operations than for most rapists?”

Emily Ratajkowski shared a naked picture of herself on Instagram to speak out about the laws and said: “This week, 25 old white men voted to ban abortion in Alabama even in cases of incest and rape.

“These men in power are imposing their wills onto the bodies of women in order to uphold the patriarchy and perpetuate the industrial prison complex by preventing women of low economic opportunity the right to choose to not reproduce.

“The states trying to ban abortion are the states that have the highest proportions of black women living there. This is about class and race and is a direct attack on the fundamental human rights women in the US deserve and are protected by under Roe vs. Wade. Our bodies, our choice.”
