Leicester vs Aston Villa live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture online and on TV tonight

Leicester host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Monday night as Brendan Rodger’s side look to narrow the gap to second-placed Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s team fell to a 2-0 derby defeat at Manchester United on Sunday, meaning Leicester will trail the English champions by just four points if they beat Villa.

But Leicester are out of form, having failed to secure a Premier League win since 22 January – just one day after Villa’s last league victory.

The two sides met twice in January, with a draw preceding a crucial Villa win that booked Dean Smith’s players a place in the Carabao Cup final – a match they ultimately lost to Manchester City in their last outing.

Here’s everything you need to know about Monday’s game.

When is the match?

Leicester vs Aston Villa takes place on Monday 9 March at the King Power Stadium.

What time does it start?

The match kicks off at 8pm.

How can I watch it on TV and online?

The game will be aired on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage beginning at 7pm.

Subscribers can also stream the match live on mobile devices via the Sky Sports app.

What is the team news?

Leicester: Following his start against Birmingham in the FA Cup, Wilfred Ndidi is in line for a Premier League return. Jamie Vardy is expected back up front, but left-back Ben Chilwell’s inclusion is up in the air after he picked up a knock in the week. Daniel Amartey will miss the fixture altogether.

Predicted line-up: Schmeichel, Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Fuchs, Choudhury, Perez, Ndidi, Maddison, Vardy, Iheanacho

Villa: Key man John McGinn is still absent through injury, but his return is edging closer after he returned to training last week. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton is out until the end of the season, as is Wesley Moraes. Jed Steer has an Achilles issue that is likely to keep him out.

Predicted line-up: Nyland, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Targett, Luiz, Nakamba, Elmohamady, Grealish, El Ghazi, Samatta

How will the match play out?

Both teams desperately need a win – Leicester to ensure they don’t continue to slip as they pursue Champions League football, and Villa so they don’t forfeit Premier League football. It’s a game that really could come down to who has the greater determination.

Villa will take confidence from their valiant Carabao Cup final performance against Man City, but Leicester have the home advantage. The two factors may well cancel each other out.

Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Villa
