Caglar Soyuncu’s agent has poured cold water on a potential transfer to Arsenal.

The Leicester City has attracted interest from Arsenal amid a stellar campaign for the Foxes.

Soyuncu, 23, is also wanted by Manchester City, but the centre-back’s agent, Mustafa Dogru, insisted his client was staying put.

He told Turkish radio station Radyospor: ‘After such performances in the Premier League, it is quite natural for transfer news to appear.

‘Caglar now focuses on the success of the team. A transfer is neither on his nor the club’s agenda.

‘I don’t know what’s going on in the future, but he’s thinking about his achievements at Leicester City and with the national team.’

Leicester City are ahead of Arsenal in the table and are being tipped to secure a place in the top four of the Premier League.

The Foxes are second, eleven points clear of Arsenal who sit in eighth place amid a dismal run of results.

Unai Emery is under pressure to improve Arsenal’s fortunes, but the club board are reportedly already considering replacements.

Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta and Wolves’ Nuno Espirito Santo are contenders to take over from Emery, although the Spaniard insists he is not concerned about his position.

‘The club is really supporting me,’ said Emery ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League clash with Frankfurt on Thursday night.

‘I feel everyone responsible in that area is backing me and I really appreciate it a lot.

‘That support gives me strength and I know my responsibility is to change the situation.

‘My future is today and tomorrow. My job is to prepare for this match against Frankfurt. Those are my only thoughts.’
