23: We have lift-off! Elland Road is pumping thanks to Stuart Dallas, who has given Leeds a 2-0 aggregate lead!

A wonderful in-swinging free-kick cannons off the far post and Dallas is quickest to react by converting from point-blank range.

22: So that’s four bookings inside 20 minutes. It doesn’t take Mystic Meg (is that still an acceptable reference?!) to predict there is a red card coming tonight.

20: Ah… and now the bookings arrive.

Stupid from both sides with Hernandez and Malone shown yellows for needless schoolboy stuff. A swinging arm followed by a head pressed into the Derby midfielder’s chest.

18: Harrison’s a bit naughty when standing on Bogle’s toes over on the right touchline. Referee Anthony Taylor gives him a quick warning but keeps his cards in his pocket.

He also keeps them in his pocket when Mount and Dallas have a coming together. The Derby midfielder was late and out of control.

15: The hosts now attempting to take the sting out of Derby by knocking the ball around at the back. Klich eventually decides to send it forward and finds Ayling with a diagonal cross but the defender volleys over.

13: Leeds really haven’t got to grips with Derby yet. The visitors win another corner courtesy of Bogle down the right channel but the delivery is far too deep to cause any issues.

11: Derby have Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett playing together up front, with a diamond in midfield. It looks to be causing Leeds quite a few problems. Lampard springing a surprise at Elland Road.

8: It’s Mount and it’s straight into the Leeds wall. Poor.

7: Derby should be level. Lawrence causes mayhem when trying to collected a long ball forward. Casilla charges out of his penalty area and prods it to Wilson, who skies it first time.

Looks like referee Anthony Taylor is bringing it back for a Derby free-kick. Wilson or Mount?

5: Booked! Fikayo Tomori is shown the first yellow of the evening when clipping the heels of Patrick Bamford. The striker would have been clean through.

3: Derby’s first task will be to silence this crowd – who are making one hell of a noise. Can barely hear myself think!

While we’re discussing cliches… already a few full-blooded challenges flying in from both sides. Referee Anthony Taylor will do well to keep a lid on this.

19:40: Everyone keeps mentioning the fact Leeds beat Derby in all three fixtures this season. That must impact psychologically on Derby. BUT – I guess this is the one that matters.

Bielsa – not a simple game

19:35: Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa: “It’s two games, but we could say it’s just one game and we’ve just played the first half,” the Argentine said.

“The difference is only one goal and the idea is to increase the difference and prevent the opponent from reducing it.

“Usually you don’t make comments at half-time and usually you work to build a superiority in the time that you have to play.

“The first game was not simple for us, and we’re sure that the next game won’t be easy either.”

Billy: Played with Lampard when we were kids, and still to this day, I have never seen a player work so hard to get to where he wanted to be. He’d be doing laps of the pitch after games and all sorts, he deserves everything he gets because he’s worked his nuts off for it.

Barry: Genuine question – what is Derby’s plan if they don’t go up and all their loan players go back to their parent clubs? Tough job for Lampard next season.

19:25: Leeds captain Liam Cooper is confident team-mate Patrick Bamford can make amends for his “stupid” suspension.

He has served a two-game ban for deceiving the referee in the recent home draw against Aston Villa and, having shown remorse, he now has the chance of swift redemption.

“There’s no worries about Pat being fit and we all know what he can do,” said Cooper. “He’s got this unbelievable confidence.

“It’s one of those things in the heat of the moment. Sometimes you make stupid decisions and Pat will admit that.”

18:40: For those living under rocks are had something better to do with their lives on Saturday – this is how the first leg went down.

Kemar Roofe hit a second-half winner to give Leeds a slender 1-0 advantage over Derby.

Roofe coolly slotted home after 55 minutes for his fourth goal against the Rams this season.

Leeds were left breathing a huge sigh of relief when referee Craig Pawson overturned a decision to give the home side a penalty with 12 minutes to go, after Jayden Bogle and Jack Harrison collided in the box.

Moving swiftly on, tonight’s Championship play-off semi-final at Elland Road sees Frank Lampard’s Derby look to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg if they are to keep alive their promotion dream.

However, NONE of the previous 17 teams to lose the first leg of a second-tier play-off semi-final at home have progressed to the final.

Yesterday’s clash at The Hawthorns was no different. What do they say? Records are made to be broken…

LEEDS vs DERBY – TEAM NEWS

Leeds have been dealt an injury blow as Kemar Roofe has been ruled out of the return leg of their Sky Bet Championship play-off semi-final against Derby.

Roofe’s 15th goal of the season secured Leeds a 1-0 win on Saturday at Pride Park in the first leg, but he will play no part at Elland Road on Wednesday due to a calf strain.

Patrick Bamford is expected to start in Roofe’s absence after serving a two-game ban, while Pontus Jansson remains doubtful and Adam Forshaw, Tyler Roberts, Barry Douglas and Gjanni Alioski are definitely out.

Derby are hoping that Martyn Waghorn will be fit. The 13-goal striker missed the first leg with an Achilles injury but he has been training since.

Left-back Ashley Cole could also be involved after he resumed training following an absence with a groin injury.
