A LEAKED memo has revealed that the families of I’m A Celebrity stars are TOLD what to write in their letters from home.
Sources have claimed the likes of Jacqueline Jossa’s husband Dan Osborne and James Haskell’s wife Chloe Madeley were handed instructions on how to lay out their emotional messages, and even what to write.
Loved ones were told to write their letters by 5pm on Tuesday and producers said “tell them how proud you are” and “give them any family news they might have missed.”
A show source told the Mirror: “The letters always make for emotional scenes in camp and great TV too.
“We think people like Jacqueline and Andy who are really missing their kids will be teary when they get their letters.”
The letters from home have often produced emotional scenes for the ITV series, with hungry and homesick campers buckling under the stress of being far away from their families.
However, this year, despite her other campmates being moved to tears, Jacqueline remained stony-faced when she received one from husband Dan.
Her letter arrived after co-star Myles Stephenson told her that he believed Dan had cheated on her with his ex Gabby Allen.
In a dramatic turn of events, Jacqueline then threatened to quit the show unless she could talk to the dad of her two kids.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn Jenner’s letter from home had also sparked sniggers on Twitter when she was snubbed by her famous family and received a care package from her DOGS instead.
The campers were all given packages that included letters and gifts from family back home, but the reality TV star’s letter was very short and only included a picture of her dogs.
“Love you, stay strong – you’re killing it,” read Caitlyn’s I’m A Celebrity campmate Myles Stephenson, “everyone at home is rooting for you especially these two cuties.”
“From my dogs!” laughed Caitlyn, looking pleased to see her pooches.
“The really nice part about tonight was getting that little bit of contact from your family, to know that they love you and can’t wait for you to get out of jungle,” said Caitlyn in the Bush Telegraph.
