Lauren Goodger was spotted for the first time promoting ‘self-love’ after she was caught agreeing to flog a lethal cyanide ‘diet drink’ to followers.

The TOWIE star was as happy-go-lucky as ever as she posed for paparazzi after the scandal.

She sported a grey hoodie with the words ‘more self love today sis’ emblazoned in the middle with plain black leggings.

Flashing a smile at the camera, Lauren didn’t seem too concerned about being caught by BBC3.

Lauren even stopped to pick up a couple of perfectly-wrapped presents she dropped.

She wasn’t the only one who got caught out by BBC’s documentary Blindboy Undestroys The World, which was released this week.

Former Towie star Mike Hassini and Love Island’s Zara Holland were among the influencers who agreed to promote the fake drink to their followers.

They were all asked to promote ‘diet drink’ Cyanora.

All three were told about the product as well as the fact it contained hydrogen cyanide, and they would not be able to try it ahead of time because it ‘wasn’t ready yet’.

Hydrogen cyanide is a potent poison that was previously used in concentration camps and as a chemical weapon in World Wars I and II, and is lethal when ingested.

The Irish prankster, who wears a bag on his head to protect his anonymity, said: ‘We were very transparent. The product was clearly labelled hydrogen cyanide, and we wanted to see if they would consider selling it to their fans. Which would kill them.’

All three of them, none of whom appeared to be aware they knew what cyanide even was, agreed to take part in an audition where they promoted the drink in a fake ad and list its ingredients.

Lauren had said what happened was unfair, telling OK! online: ‘The BBC set me up and I feel like I’ve been unfairly targeted by them.’

In a statement provided to Metro.co.uk, Lauren said: ‘I was asked to read a script which I did to screen test me for the job. This script was given to me at that precise moment. No deals were signed and it was an audition.

‘As with any audition, you people please and say what they want to hear. They asked me would I promote the drink without using it. In the heat of the moment, I said yes and also said I hadn’t tried skinny coffee in the hope of getting the job.’

She continued: ‘Of course I would never promote anything that contains poison and proper checks would have been made before any promotion. I also have never said I lost two stone using skinny coffee. That is a complete lie and I’m unsure where that has come from.

‘I would never promote anything on my Instagram that I don’t feel is right for my followers and that I haven’t used. The sit-down meeting after the audition was filmed undercover without my knowledge.’
