Laura Whitmore proves there is love in the villa with sneaky behind the scenes kisses

Love Island host Laura Whitmore has given fans a glimpse into the realest romance story in the villa.

The Irish stunner, 34, took to Instagram to share the sweetest snap of herself and boyfriend Iain Sterling, 32, sharing a behind-the-scenes kiss from last night’s explosive dumping episode.

Dedicating the gorgeous post to her other half and narrator of the iconic dating show, Laura wished Iain a happy birthday before adding that he was the ‘best person’ she knows.

Alongside the soppy snap of the pair sharing a smooch in the garden of the famous villa, the TV presenter wrote:

When bae sneaks into your office to say hello! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best person I know

Laura and Iain met in 2016 but things did not turn romantic until the following summer.

In July 2017 The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Iain found love with Laura after meeting her at an ITV party.

The pair couldn’t be any cuter if they tried

The pair were both hanging out with mutual friends and struck up a connection and since then, they have famously kept their relationship out of the spotlight.

After months of staying coy about the romance, Laura confirmed the romance in August 2017.

She said: “Yeah he’s my boyfriend. He’s lovely. I’ve got him as my screensaver. I’ve known him for ages.”

And Iain opened up in March 2018, saying: “I’ve got someone who’s like me, but much, much better.

“And Laura’s got someone who’s like her, but much worse. I’ve done well out of it, but I’m dead happy because she’s lovely and stuff.”

And the pair slowly started sharing posts together on social media as their relationship progressed.

The loved-up couple first started dating in 2017

The show’s voiceover man, 31, revealed he is “delighted” to have the Irish presenter join him in South Africa for the show’s upcoming winter edition following Caroline Flack’s decision to step down after she was charged with assault against her boyfriend.

ITV confirmed that the 34-year-old would be filling in for Flack, and would be taking on the coveted job which so many others would kill for.

Iain rushed to congratulate his Irish lass on his Instagram Stories as he wrote: “Delighted to have @thewhitemore join the #loveisland team.”

Iain thinks Laura is ‘lovely’ .

Following the announcement, Laura said: “To say I’m excited to be heading to Cape Town to host Love Island , the biggest show on television, is an understatement.

“I want to thank ITV for trusting me at the helm of this huge show. I wish it was in better circumstances; Caroline is a brilliant host and also a friend. We’ve spoken a lot in the last few days since she stepped down.

“She has been very kind to me and strongly pushed me for this role. I’ve watched her host every series and know I have big boots to fill. I will try and do it justice.”

The sweet snap comes after Whitmore was slammed by Love Island fans for her ‘excessive’ travelling.

The new host, 34 – who landed the much sought after role earlier this month – has already carried out the 12,000 mile round trip to Cape Town over six times since the show began.

As well as her presenting duties on the ITV2 dating show, Laura is also hosting the spin-off show Aftersun every Monday in London, as well as her BBC Radio 5 Live show every Sunday morning.

Fans slammed the Irish beauty and called for her to be sacked

While juggling each of her work duties, the Irish stunner has no other choice but to travel from London to South Africa on the regular.

Despite this, eco-friendly fans of Love Island are now calling for the blonde beauty to be sacked due to her ‘excessive’ travelling and her ‘complete disregard’ for her carbon footprint and the overall state of the planet.

Laura shared a selfie while on an aircraft, wearing headphones and wrote: “Morning London! Just landed and back on air @bbc5live at 10am.”

Laura hit back defending her awareness of climate change

Taking to Twitter to troll the ITV presenter, fans didn’t hold back their feelings towards the star.

Laura Whitmore should be sacked. Who thinks it’s okay to fly that much? What a complete disregard for the state of the planet!” wrote one raging fan.

“Jesus, obviously she hasn’t heard of the climate crisis. Flying off every chance she gets while the rest of us are here trying to save the planet” another fuming follower tweeted.

While a third replied: “@bbc5live why is Laura Whitmore flying from South Africa every weekend to do her Sunday morning radio show then back to SA to present Love Island?”.

“Surely there are studios she could broadcast from in SA? #ClimateCrisis.”

However the Irish born beauty quickly hit back, telling the troll: “Love Island Aftersun is filmed in London – as all the guests are based in the UK.

I’m only in cape town for the finale, public voting etc. I’m an advocate of offsetting carbon footprint you’ll notice on my Twitter. Thanks x.”
