Laura Whitmore braved the freezing cold weather as she took a dip into the sea on the beach – all while wearing a bikini.

The Love Island host is currently enjoying a staycation with fiancé Iain Stirling in New Brighton, Merseyside – and although it might not be sunny outside, they are trying to make the best of it.

Taking to Instagram, Laura shared snaps of her donning a colourful rainbow bikini while the waves surrounded her.

But even she admitted it was a bit too cold for her.

‘F*****g freezing #staycation2020,’ she captioned the post.

Fans couldn’t help but applaud Laura for her bravery, with one writing in the comments: ‘Jesus if that’s the Mersey you’re a brave brave woman.’

Another added: ‘Can see your goosebumps.’

While one fan warned her that New Brighton is no stranger to cold weather, saying: ‘Are you mad? New Brighton is never warm,’ alongside a laughing emoji.

It comes after Laura and Iain celebrated their three-year anniversary earlier this month, with a sweet tribute shared to social media.

Iain picked a photo that he obviously thought summed up their romance well, as he shared a snap of him rocking a flower headband and Laura downing a bottle of beer.

‘Pure class for 3 years. Happy anniversary x,’ he wrote.

Meanwhile, his partner shared a picture of the couple sunbathing in the grass – although Iain looked very engrossed by whatever was on his phone screen.

She simply captioned the post: ‘3 years’, with a red heart emoji.

The two first got together in July 2017 and both worked on the first winter series of Love Island earlier this year, which was filmed in South Africa.

Laura has taken over the role of presenting from the late Caroline Flack, while Iain has continued his voiceover duties.
