Latest Championship title odds for the 2021/22 season

Only two clubs in five years have managed to lift the title at the first time of asking after Premier League relegation – can Fulham be the third?

Fulham have been priced as the favourite to lift the Championship title and return to the Premier League ahead of the new Football League season.

Marco Silva’s side are 11/2 favourites with Grosvenor Sport which would truly make the London club a yo-yo side if they get promotion to the Premier League again.

They join fellow relegated clubs Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion who will mount a challenge not only for automatic promotion but for the Championship title too.

In the last five seasons only two teams have finished top of the table after getting relegated the previous season – Newcastle United in 2016-17 and Norwich City last season.

They could have a fight on their hands with a number of teams plus the odd surprising overachiever in the league.

Bournemouth look like they could be a solid opponent this season under Scott Parker – the Cherries were unlucky to miss out on automatic promotion last season after losing their last three matches and costing Jonathan Woodgate his job.

Surprisingly, Nottingham Forest are tipped at 20/1 for a title fight and are 9/1 for a top two finish which given Chris Hughton’s record in the league could mean an upset is on the cards for the bookies if the punters back them overwhelmingly.
