Landlords WON’T be able to kick Brits out of their homes during the coronavirus crisis under new Government measures.
The Government has brought in a range of measures protecting renters as the outbreak continues.

In a huge boost for Britain’s 4.6 million renters, landlords will now have to give tenants three month notice if they plan on booting them out.
This will apply in law until September 30 2020, with the three month notice period even extending further if needed.
The protection covers most tenants in England and Wales against all grounds for evictions.
All ongoing housing possession action is now also suspended, meaning no current case can see someone evicted.
This will last for 90 days, but again could be extended if the crisis rumbles on.
Support has also been set aside to help renters pay, including cash as well as measures to help them negotiate with landlords during this difficult time.
Landlords remain unaffected, with the Government earlier announcing a three month mortgage payment holiday where they have a Buy to Let mortgages.
It comes one day on from the Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveiling a bumper package of help for 3.8million of Britain’s army of self-employed workers.
Brits earning up to £50,000 will be able to get up to 80 per cent of that back.
The average self-employed Brit will get £940 a month worth of help, Treasury sources estimated.
Mr Sunak said his new scheme would:
- Help 95 per cent of the self-employed who rely on it for the majority of their income get help
- Give help to who has trading profits of up to £50,000
- See HMRC get in touch (there’s no need to call) to fill out forms – and money will be paid directly into bank accounts in one lump sum
- Permit anyone who missed the January deadline four weeks to file a return and take part
- Be open for at least the next three months – and longer if the lockdown continues
