Lana Del Rey cancels Glasgow SSE Hydro gig due to illness

Lana Del Rey has been forced to cancel her European tour due to illness.

The devastated pop superstar announced today she’s pulling the plug on scheduled performances across the continent, including next Friday’s gig at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.

Lana had been set to kick off a series of dates for the European leg of her Norman F****** Rockwell tour at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on February 21, until she fell ill.

She was then scheduled to arrive in the UK for a run of concerts, with the first taking place at the The O2 in London on Tuesday.

She said: “Sorry to let everyone down so last minute but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice. Dr has advised 4 weeks off for the moment. I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well. Love Lana”

For refunds, customers are advised to contact their original point of purchase.

The Video Games hitmaker announced the tour in August 2019, taking in a host of locations across north America and Europe, including the Primavera Sound in Barcelona.

She was due to finish up at Glastonbury Festival on June 24.
