Lamar Odom has hit back at trolls who claimed he was throwing shade at his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian with his recent Instagram post praising his new lady, Sabrina Parr.

The professional basketball player, 39, hit back after his followers claimed his post about Sabrina was subtle shade at Khloe.

He wrote: ‘I’m a bit disappointed to read that people are using my words to enforce their own perceptions and assumptions pointing towards things that just are not MY TRUTH OR REALITY.

‘This post isn’t against anyone including my ex wife that I still respect deeply. I am just PRO love. Can I do that without people feeling offended? Why does that make you mad?

‘Our black women have been held down for centuries! I am now deciding to send them and my NEW WOMAN a lot of love.

‘My post goes out to the new leading woman in my life, that I’m gonna tell everyday how beautiful she is, from the inside out. Thanks @getuptoparrfor teaching me what real self value means. It changed my entire mindset. #woke’.

Fans had jumped on an earlier post, where he had shared a photo of his personal trainer girlfriend, alongside the caption: ‘“It’s just like when you’ve got some coffee that’s too black, which means it’s too strong, what do you do? You integrate it with cream… But if you pour too much cream in it, you won’t even know you ever had coffee.

‘”It used to be hot, it becomes cool. It used to be strong, it becomes weak. It used to wake you up, now it puts you to sleep.” – MALCOLM X #blackroyalty’.

They were quick to draw parallels between Khloe- who is of Armenian descent – and Sabrina, claiming the message had a hidden meaning.

Lamar clarified that the only meaning in the post was to show his appreciation to Sabrina and other black women, without any disrespect to Khloe or anyone else.

He and Sabrina had gone public with their relationship this week after the couple were spotted kissing in Atlanta, USA, on Friday.

Lamar and Khloe had got married in 2009, just a month after they met, and they filed for divorce in 2013 though it wasn’t officially finalised until 2016.

Khloe had put off the proceedings in order to be able to make medical decisions on his behalf after Lamar was hospitalised after being found unconscious at Nevada’s Love Ranch brothel in 2015.

She helped him with his recovery from the incident which caused kidney failure, several heart attacks and strokes and left him in a coma and on life support before his recovery.
