Lady Gaga may have well and truly caught the acting bug and things could go a step further if she plays Rocket Racoon’s love interest in Guardian’s Of The Galaxy Volume 3.

The 33-year-old, who won an Oscar for best original song in 2019 for A Star Is Born, was also nominated for the best actress award for the same movie in the same year.

But could the Bad Romance hitmaker be making her way to the world of superhero movies?

Rocket, who is voiced by Gaga’s A Star Is Born co-star and on-screen love interest, is reportedly due a romantic twist to his plotline.

According to HollywoodLife, ‘there is a very strong possibility that Lady Gaga and Bradley will be working together again on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.’

The insider continued: ‘Only some cast names have been released, but the word is Bradley will reprise his role of Rocket Raccoon and Gaga will play his love interest.’

‘Their characters are animated but still, it’s exciting,’ the source continued: ‘Audiences want them together and certainly everyone recognizes that appeal, they’re box office gold together, it’s very likely that this will happen.’

Marvel declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.

In the comic books Rocket actually has a little soulmate in the form of a sentient otter named Lylla.

Cute.

Marvel’s Lylla is rescued by Rocket and also happens to be the heiress to a toy-making empire – yes, you read that correctly.

The news comes as Bradley recently ‘split’ from his partner Irina Shayk, who he shares two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine with.

The couple, who ended their four-year relationship earlier this month, was faced with rumours that part of the reason they parted ways was due to how close he had become to Gaga while making the emotionally-charged film.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Lady Gaga for comment.
