Lady Gaga and Adam Driver have been spotted filming funeral scenes for their upcoming film House Of Gucci in Italy.

In the upcoming film, Gaga play’s Patrizia Reggiani, an Italian heiress who ordered the murder of her husband, Maurizio Gucci, played by Adam.

The pair were seen getting into a red sports car in their mourning clothes, and in another shot the couple embraced and Gaga was seen being overwhelmed with emotion.

Filming is well under way for the project, which is inspired by the real-life events in which Gucci was shot dead outside of his office in Milan.

Patrizia, who had split from the designer in 1985, was convicted of ordering his murder in 1998, and was sentenced to 19 years in prison, which was later reduced to 26 after an appeal, and she was released in 2016 after serving 18 years.

She has since spoken out about the biopic, stating that she is ‘annoyed’ that Gaga didn’t meet with her before portraying her on screen.

She told Italy’s national news agency Ansa: ‘I’m annoyed by the fact that Lady Gaga is portraying me in the new Ridley Scott film without even having the courtesy or the good sense to come and meet me.’

Patrizia, now 72, added: ‘It’s nothing to do with money because I won’t be taking a single cent from the film. It’s about common sense and respect.

‘I believe that any good actor should first get to know the person that they are meant to be playing.

‘I think it is not right that I wasn’t contacted. And I say this with all the sympathy and appreciation that I have for her.’

The film, which is based on the 2012 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, also stars Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino, Jack Huston and Jared Leto.

House of Gucci is due for release in the USA on November 24, 2021 with a UK release date to be confirmed.
