The troubles with last week’s ‘interview’ began when Gaga -whose real name is Stefani Germanotta- seemed totally unprepared for Jimmy’s on-air FaceTime call.

‘I can’t, Jimmy. I can’t talk right now,’ said the A Star Is Born actress when Jimmy rang.

The extremely awkward interview was conducted on Jimmy’s phone – which he inexplicably held away from his face at times so that Gaga couldn’t see him.

‘Hello? Jimmy, I can’t see you,’ said the Judas songstress. ‘Am I on TV?’

Moments later, Gaga tried to reschedule their interview for Friday.

‘Yeah, it’s Wednesday,’ replied a bemused Fallon.

Eventually they settled on a Monday interview, during which Fallon accepted Gaga’s apology.

‘It turned out to be really kind of a fun bit for us … and got a lot of people excited about what we’re about to discuss tonight,’ said the Saturday Night Live alum.

And during Jimmy’s show, Apple CEO Tim Cook pledged $10million to Gaga’s fundraising effort.
