A LUCKY Brit managed to snap up a luxury break to Dubai for a bargain £99 thanks to a mystery holiday deal.

Liam McMahon, from Glasgow, bought the £99 voucher on deals site Wowcher on a whim but said he didn’t expect much of it.
So the 21-year-old University Of Glasgow undergrad was stunned when he discovered he’d landed a four-night trip to luxury three-star resort Ibis One Central in Dubai with return flights thrown in.
Now Liam and best mate, Craig, 22, are set to fly out to the desert paradise today for the trip of a lifetime – having saved plenty of their student budget for activities like driving dune buggies and camel rides in the desert.
Liam, a part time waiter, said: “We thought it was a scam at first, we literally couldn’t believe it.

“When we realised it was real we were just in shock and couldn’t stop celebrating. I was absolutely buzzing.
“I had just seen it as an advert on Facebook, it was a £99 voucher for a mystery holiday from 400 destinations.
“I sent it to my mates and said shall we just split this and try go somewhere, even if we went to Dublin or somewhere it would be a laugh.
“I never thought we’d be the ones going to Dubai. I think the chances are one in 6,000 so it’s such a slim chance of getting that destination.”
Taking to social media to express disbelief at his good luck in a viral post, Liam said he’d expected to go somewhere much more “standard” like Salou in Spain as the mystery ticket offered a variety of destinations from Costa Del Sol to Dublin.

The 21-year-old, who still lives at home with his parents, added: “We already know we want to go to the waterpark at the hotel, and ride sand dune buggies and camels in the desert.
“We just can’t wait.
“When we found out, I came downstairs and told my parents I was going on holiday, they asked me ‘where’.
“When I told them Dubai for £99, they couldn’t believe it, I think they’re almost a bit nervous, but it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.”
How you can snap up a £99 mystery break
