Kylie Jenner has already conquered the make-up world and now the 21-year-old has set sail on her next beauty category: perfume.
As The Hollywood Reporter writes, Kylie gave viewers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians the first glimpse of her scent during the opening episode of the new series of the reality TV show. The perfume – which appeared to come in a lip-shaped bottle – will be a collaboration between Kylie and her sister Kim Kardashian West, who has her own line of scents called KKW Fragrance.
Not much else was shared on the show other than this initial newsflash, with things like the fragrance notes, launch date and even the all-important name remaining a secret for now. Anticipate that initial social media post, readers. You all know it is coming.
This will mark the second time that Kim and Kylie have worked together on a beauty launch. Previously, the sisters collaborated on a Lip Kit for the younger’s Kylie Cosmetics launch, much like Kylie has also done with other family members Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
Famous faces putting their names to fragrances was arguably one of the first areas of the industry to explore celebrity endorsement. Britney Spears’s Fantasy – and its many reincarnations – have boomed into a $1.5 billion-plus business and JLo’s Glow fragrance is said to be worth around $400 million. The one thing that neither of those have? Kylie.
Already commanding an empire in the billions, Kylie’s foray into fragrance will enable her to grow her brand even further and give fans more of what they’re forever eager for.
