Local politician Jess Glasgow has been labeled ‘disgusting’ and ‘creepy’ after he made lewd comments on Thursday’s episode of The Bachelorette.

But on Friday, radio personality Kyle Sandilands defended the Noosa councillor, saying his sexist and sleazy behaviour on the show was ‘normal’.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, he said: ‘The guy [Jess] is just having a laugh. This is how guys behave, whether you like it or not.’

Kyle added that the Bachelorette contestants who confronted Jess were ‘losers’.

‘Even the little top-knot, long-haired surfie guys couldn’t believe it. When they knew they were on camera, they probably just zipped it a little bit,’ he said.

‘But this is just normal behaviour! That’s not even out of line!’

During Thursday’s episode of The Bachelorette, Jess called Angie a ‘b**ch’ after being told she wanted to talk to him about his behaviour.

Kyle defended his choice of words, saying: ‘Calling a woman a “b***h” in aggressive heated argument, that’s not on. But saying [the] phrase, “Bring it on, b***h”, that’s a very different thing.’

The KIIS FM radio host said there was ‘nothing wrong’ with using the phrase, ‘Bring it on, b***h’, like Jess did on the show.

Despite downplaying the Noosa councillor’s comments as ‘Queenslander humour’, Kyle insisted that he was ‘not defending what he said or did’.

During a farmyard-themed photo shoot on The Bachelorette, Jess was dressed as the backside of a horse when he ‘joked’ that Angie was going to ‘ride’ him.

He later positioned his head close to Angie’s bottom and proceeded to poke his tongue out and make rude sexual gestures.

In another cringeworthy moment, he brazenly told her: ‘Don’t mind me if I get some wandering fingers, alright?’

‘You made me feel uncomfortable. You took it too far. You’re going to have to leave,’ she said.

Since his appearance on the show, Noosa Mayor Tony Wellington has told Jess to resign from the local council.
