KT Tunstall found herself in tears on Tuesday as her long lost half-sisters sent in an emotional message to the singer.

The singer was adopted at 18 days and was bought up in Scotland in a happy family, but she decided at the age of 43 to look for her birth mother and father.

On Monday night she appeared on the ITV show Long Lost Family and sadly discovered her father had passed away.

But host Nicky Campbell revealed that he had gone on to welcome two more daughters.

The three women met on the show for the first time, but on Lorraine’s morning show on Tuesday the sisters sent in a video message, leaving KT in tears.

‘I am so glad you reached out through Long Lost Family to meet me and Siobhan,’ said Lesley-Anne.

‘I really wish circumstances has been different and you could have had a chance to meet Dad, but I am really glad we will get the opportunity to build a relationship with you.’

‘You’ve changed our lives for the better,’ added Siobhan.

KT went on to reveal that they were all living in the Fife area, ‘which isn’t that big’ and that the girls used to visit the ice cream shop in St Andrews where KT worked.

‘I probably gave them a vanilla cone, at some point,’ she joked.
