Kristin Cavallari has sparked outrage after sharing a sexy snap of herself while paying tribute to the victims of 9/11.

The Hills star posed in a plunging black dress in New York in the Instagram shot, which she captioned: ‘NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here… always remember.

The 32-year-old also promoted fashion brands by tagging them in the post.

Her followers flocked to the comments to accuse her of being ‘disrespectful’ and ‘insensitive’ to the families of 9/11 victims.

‘This whole post is just wrong and insensitive to those who lost loved ones due to these unspeakable acts,’ one user raged.

Another added: ‘I love you and think that you are generally spot on in the things that you choose to present, but this is just disrespectful and undermining to the magnitude of the events that occurred on that horrific day.’

‘Inappropriate picture for today! Have a little respect for 9/11!’ a third wrote, while a fourth agreed: ‘Wrong picture for the sentiment in the post.’

After the backlash, the Laguna Beach star changed the caption to simply say: ‘NYC for 24hrs.’

Page Six reported that the entire fiasco prompted Kristin to take matters into her own hands as she ‘fired a social media staffer’ after the post went viral for all of the wrong reasons.
