Twilight star Kristen Stewart has teased that she might just marry her fiancée Dylan Meyer ‘this weekend’ as she revealed that she wasn’t ‘a good planner’ and not particularly bothered about having an extravagant ceremony.
Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night to promote her new film Spencer, which has seen the 31-year-old tipped for awards success, the actress opened up about her future with Dylan.
When host Stephen asking her about wedding planning, Kristen responded that she’d ‘like a big party’ but added: ‘I’m so unceremonial. I think we might just go do it this weekend or something … and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards!’
‘I just want to do it,’ she said of tying the knot with her partner. ‘I’m not a good planner. I can’t make plans for dinner. I like to pivot. You never know where I’m going, man.’
The couple were engaged in November after two years together, following screenwriter Dylan’s proposal.
Kristen then went on to agree that she had ‘knocked it out of the park’ by taking the next step with her fiancée, and if they give him enough notice of any weekend nuptials don’t forget that celebrity chef Guy Fieri has agreed to officiate.
After the Happiest Season actress joked that she’d be into him playing a role in their wedding, she was surprised with a video message from the man himself during an appearance on the Today show.
The Mayor of Flavortown popped up on a screen behind the actor and announced: ‘I heard through the Flavortown grapevine that you are looking for a sweet, spiky-haired officiant for your wedding.
‘I’m all in!’
Kristen, visibly shocked, cried: ‘Oh my God … Was he joking?!’
When asked by the show’s presenters if hers was a real offer and she really wanted the TV chef to officiate, Kristen replied instantly: ‘Absolutely!’
‘I love it!’ Kristen said. ‘Do you know where he lives? What’s his address? Does he live in LA? We should talk about this!’
Following the interview, Guy tagged the Today show on Twitter and reiterated: ‘That offer is legit!’
The actress also recently hit headlines again with her ex and former co-star Robert Pattinson after Twilight director Catherine Hardwick revealed that she was worried that their first kiss during the pair’s audition was so steamy it was ‘illegal’.
In California, the legal age of consent is 18, and Catherine felt compelled to remind then-21-year-old Robert of this after he fell off the bed during his audition with 17-year-old Kristen.
