Frozen pocketed $1.276B worldwide and is the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Bell reflected on the cast’s reaction at the time to the record-shattering news.

‘When we watched it, we felt like, “Oh wow, we broke a mold. We made a move about familial love and self love instead of romantic love,”‘ she began.

‘… and we were really proud of the film, and then … later, we were checking the box office going, “Wow that’s really hangin on.”‘

The Veronica Mars darling also confessed that she’s tipped her kids off on Frozen spoilers.

‘I told my kids all of it,’ she said. ‘You just so badly want your kids to think you’re cool and I say to them all the time. I’m like, “You don’t get it. I’m literally a cool mom. You don’t understand how cool I am.” They want nothing to do with it.’

Initially Bell dished her brood on all the details, but ended up second-guessing herself after the fact.

‘So when we first read the script two-and-a-half years ago, three years ago, I came home and I was like, “Okay, here’s how it goes down.” And I told them everything and I told them, “Just keep it a secret,”‘ she continued.

‘Then it occurred to me, kids are bad secret keepers and I breached my contract.’

Frozen 2 hits theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
