Kourtney Kardashian is reportedly engaged to Travis Barker after he is believed to have proposed during their recent trip to Las Vegas.
It’s suggested the couple, who went public with their relationship in February after being friends for years, cemented this next stage in their relationship after rocker Travis, 45, got down on one knee while they were visiting Sin City.
A source close to Kourtney, 42, claimed the Blink-182 drummer had been ‘planning the proposal for ages’.
The insider continued to The Sun: ‘They want to start their own family together – that is the bigger thing for them because they both have kids, but they want to bring the two families together.’
Kourtney is mum to Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with former partner of almost a decade, Scott Disick, while Travis shares son Landon, 17, and daughter Alabama, 15, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her beau were their usual loved-up selves as they enjoyed their Vegas trip, sharing plenty of photos together as well as being snapped at Friday’s UFC 264 fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, where they indulged in a spot of tonsil tennis when the camera panned to focus on them.
Instagram captions also had fans a-flutter as Kourtney posted cute snaps of herself with Travis in their hotel, writing: ‘what happens in Vegas’, which caused speculation over what they might have been up to in a place famed for its speedy weddings, which Lily Allen and David Harbour took advantage of in September 2020.
A friend of the Kardashian sister further fanned the flames of gossip by making a joke about Vegas weddings as he shared a pic of the couple.
‘…NOWWW I understand why ppl tie the knot in Vegas.
‘There’s nothing like love AND a good time,’ wrote hairstylist Glen Oropeza.
However, according to The Sun, a source at the Clark County marriage license bureau revealed the pair had not been in, which they would need to have done to tie the knot.
That doesn’t mean the PDA-packing pair didn’t decide they would get married in the future though, sealing that pact with an official engagement, as the inside source suggested the couple is looking to wed later this year.
The insider claimed Kourtney never married her ex Scott Disick because she ‘wasn’t interested’ due to her parent’s divorce, and ‘actually turned down Scott a few times’, but it seems she could have had a change of heart as she sees things with Travis as ‘different’.
The friend explained: ‘They’ve talked a lot about marriage and the future.
‘She doesn’t want a ‘show wedding’ like her sisters, just a beautiful, intimate celebration where it’s about making a new family.’
We can’t help but feel that even a small ‘Kravis’ wedding would likely mean the attendance of the Kardashian clan, as well as perhaps some of Travis’ musician mates, although it could still be a far cry from Kim and Kanye’s £17million bash.
The pal also put forward that the end goal is babies, and sooner rather than later as Kourtney ‘just wants it all to start immediately’.
‘Travis is just as excited, and very much on the same page,’ they continued.
With five children between them and a current living situation that sees them in separate houses, the pair has ‘quite a few complications’ to sort out when it comes to their home but is apparently ‘determined they can make this work’, as well as by their plans for the future.
