A young cat has been left looking like a tiny Ron Perlman after eating a wasp this week.
Kiko the Siamese kitten was left pretty swollen-faced when he decided to taste a ‘flying jalapeno’ for the first time outside his home in Essex.
The six-month-old pet couldn’t resist the bright colours and intense buzz – clearly.
And after an image was uploaded to Twitter – the lookalikes came rolling in (we’re talking everything from Tigger to Game of Throne’s Night King).
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, owner Bethany Long, 23, said: ‘I have been noticing recently that Kiko likes sitting on the roof of the garage and try and catch wasps that are flying past.
‘And then on Sunday, he came home and headed straight for his food. As he started eating I could see he had a really fat chin.
‘So my mum and I took off his colour and he looked like an elephant seal.
‘We rang a vet and sent over some pictures and he said to give him half an antihistamine and wait for it to go down. Then he just slept it off.
‘I found it funny when we realised he would be OK but mum panicked and was on the verge of tears telling me to stop laughing.
‘I love how viral he has gone on Twitter, I’ve always known he has the ability to make it big.
‘He has spent the day in the garden chasing his brother and sister’.
Mum, Jackie Long, added: ‘Kiko gave me such a fright. He came running in and looked so odd!
‘When I picked him up I saw that the lower part of his jaw was swollen so much he couldn’t open his mouth.
‘Overnight the swelling went down. Kiko loves to catch insects so can only assume he has eaten a wasp!
‘Thank goodness he is OK!’.
Kiko has now, thankfully, made a full recovery – however, we can’t imagine he’ll be doing that again anytime soon.
