Kingsley Coman has welcomed the speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, but insists he is happy at Bayern Munich, for now.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League, with both Manchester United and Man City credited with an interest in him.

The former Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is under contract at Bayern until 2023 and they are in no rush to let him go, with Coman making 15 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

He has scored twice in the Bundesliga and netted three in four appearances in the Champions League.

With the arrival of Leroy Sane and the return of Douglas Costa to Bayern, Coman was concerned about his playing time at Bayern, which le to speculation about his future.

He is happy for big clubs to be interested in him, but says he is happy in Bavaria.

‘It’s good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence,’ Coman told Bild. ‘But I have a contract here until 2023, I’m just thinking of Bavaria. It’s all good, I’m happy.’

Coman admits he had concerns about the competition for places, but says it has not been a problem, for now.

‘I had the feeling that I could be used less often. I’m 24, that’s an age I have to play! Fortunately, my fear did not come true,’ he continued.

‘Leroy is very good, we play differently from [Man] City, he will only completely internalize our DNA. It’s not a matter of a few days.

‘We’re four for two positions, we’re team-mates, but of course we all want to play as much as possible. At the moment I’m in a good mood, but maybe that will change in two months.

‘Maybe then Leroy, Serge (Gnabry) or Douglas (Costa) will play. It is important that at least two of us are always in top form.’

Bayern have been in typically excellent form this season, sitting top of the Bundesliga and without a defeat in any competition since 27 September.
