WELLIES at the ready, festival season is just around the corner and Kings of Leon have just been announced as the headliners of Fusion Presents.
The US rockers will be bringing their biggest hits to Liverpool this summer, so here’s everything you need to know about the event.
Who are Kings of Leon?
Kings of Leon are an American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennesse, in 1999.
Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill, who are brothers, and their cousin Matthew Followill make up the act.
The band released a number of albums before achieving major commercial success in the mid-2000s with the release of their third album Because of the Times, which hit number one in the UK.
The rockers’ most famous hit is Sex on Fire, and in 2009 it was Britain’s second most-downloaded digital single ever.
Their most recent album is WALLS , an acronym for We Are Like Love Songs, which topped the UK albums chart.
When and where is Fusion Presents 2019?
Fusion Presents takes place in Sefton Park in Liverpool on the 30th of August.
Unlike its sister event Fusion Festival, it is a one day only festival.
What is the line-up for Fusion Presents 2019?
Kings of Leon are the headlining act of Fusion Presents 2019.
Also on the bill are Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand, 80s act Echo & the Bunnymen, indie group Circa Waves and Sam Fender, who won BBC’s Sound of 2018.
More acts will be announced before the festival.
Where can I get tickets and how much are they?
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
General Admission Tickets cost £59.45 each and are still available.
VIP tickets are £174.95 and entitle the holder to special entrance to the festival 30 minutes before the main gate opens.
The pricier ticket also gives access to a private viewing area to watch performances, a VIP bar and lounge and a meal voucher.
