Kimberly Wyatt: Training for Pussycat Dolls reunion after giving birth was a huge challenge

Kimberly Wyatt said getting back in shape for the Pussycat Dolls reunion after giving birth six weeks ago has been the “biggest challenge of my life”.

Today, the American girl group — made up of Wyatt, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, and Carmit Bachar — confirmed after months of speculation that they are reforming.

They will embark on a nine-date UK tour, playing The O2 on April 17. They will also perform on The X Factor: Celebrity final this Saturday.

Wyatt, 37, welcomed her third child, a son named Ford, last month with her British model husband Max Rogers.

The couple live in London with her their other children Willow, four, and Maple, two.

The singer said she would rely on the support of her husband to juggle motherhood with being back on the road. “It has been the biggest challenge of my life to be back in shape for rehearsals,” she said.

“I mean, it is physical. We take no prisoners.” She added: “I have a pure tag-team modern family. My husband is a supermodel, and he is flying here there and everywhere. But we do it together. My kids are my biggest priority, of course.”

Wyatt said the reunion had been “years in the making”, adding: “I think there has always been some unfinished business with the Pussycat Dolls.”

The group’s debut album, PCD, was released in 2005 and they went on to sell 54 million records worldwide, before splitting in 2010.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Sunday at LiveNation.co.uk
