Kim Kardashian has reportedly settled a $6.1 million (£4.7 million) lawsuit with her former bodyguard after he was accused of failing to protect her when she was robbed in Paris in 2016.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star sued bodyguard Pascal Duvier and his companies – Protect Security and Balali Investments Inc – for negligence for the amount the insurance company paid Kim for the jewellery that was stolen.

According to The Sun, the case has been settled after two years.

The site reports that court documents read: ‘Plaintiff’s Counsel informs the court that the parties have come to a settlement agreement and are waiting on the defendant’s signature to proceed further.’

Duvier reportedly then signed a dismissal notice seen by a judge in LA.

Kim’s lawyer told the site he could not disclose details of the confidential settlement.

In October 2016, while she was attending Paris Fashion Week, Kim was attacked in her room at the Hôtel de Pourtalès.

A gang of intruders made their way into her room and demanded that she gave them a ring her husband Kanye West had gifted her.

Criminals tied her up and stole jewellery worth $10million (£7million) as Kim’s bodyguard was with her sisters at the time.

Kim has spoken of the traumatic events before and said in 2019 that she felt she was to blame for the robbery.

‘I definitely see the things that I brought on myself, the biggest being the robbery,’ she said. ‘Just being flashy and oversharing my every move on social media.

‘But I enjoy my life. Someone said to me the other day, “What is it like being you?” It’s awesome.’

Most recently, the star has said she feared her sister Kourtney would ‘find her dead’ following the robbery.

‘I kept on thinking about Kourtney, I kept on thinking, like, she’s gonna come home and I’m gonna be dead in the room and she’s gonna be traumatised for the rest of her life,’ Kim recalled, according to US Weekly.
