Kim Kardashian poses with her four children in honor of US recognition of Armenian Genocide


She is known for using her unprecedented clout and following to place issues she cares about in the ultimate spotlight.

And on Wednesday, Kim Kardashian again discussed her homeland of Armenia, which she visited earlier this month with her children and sister Kourtney.

In honor of Tuesday’s news that the US House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide of 1915, the reality star and Skims businesswoman posted an incredible picture of herself and her four children from the trip, captioning it with praise for the development.

‘Yesterday was such a huge victory for the Armenian people when the US House Of Representatives acknowledged the Armenian Genocide!’ the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wrote. 

‘This photo was taken of me and my children this month in Armenia,’ she concluded, along with crediting the photographer, Jackie Nickerson.

In the image, the 38-year-old mother poses with her children North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 20 months, and Psalm, 4 months.

They pose in shades of blacks and greys, regarding the camera with slightly somber or natural expressions (save for Saint, who is smiling adorably).

Kim and three of her children are also adorned with gorgeous jewelry typical of the region. 

Missing from the image is dad Kanye West, who did not accompany his wife on the trip, which she took to explore her family roots through her late father, Robert Kardashian.

Later on Wednesday, she shared three more photos from the trip, two of which showed her standing next to her sisters Kourtney in virtually identical outfits.

Kim also added a news article about the legislation to her Instagram Story, which featured a picture of the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, which she visited on October 9th. 

According to that article in New York Times, the legislation to officially recognize the 1915 mass killings of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire as a genocide passed by a 405-to-11 vote. 

Kim K was also in Armenia to baptize her three younger children, the event for which was held on Monday, October 7th in Yerevan.

While their sister Khloe was also not present on the trip to their family’s ancestral homeland, Kourtney’s three children were in tow: Mason, nine, Penelope, seven, and Reign, four.
