It’s been a dramatic few weeks for Kim Kardashian, as speculation mounted about her marriage to Kanye West.
But it was back to the day job for Kim this week in Malibu – and by day job, we mean looking all kinds of fire in a bikini shoot.
The 39-year-old left behind Instagram and filters for an IRL photo shoot on the beach, for which she wore a snakeskin string bikini.
Kim wore her hair in a long braid and donned warped gold earrings to accessorise her two-piece, and was serving Bond girl vibes as she emerged from the ocean.
The mother-of-four then kneeled down on the sand while sipping from a glass of iced tea for some shots – because any model worth their salt knows, you’ve got to give them options.
Kim’s shoot came after she filmed a new episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in California.
It’s unclear if the shoot was for business or her personal thirst trap collection, but either way, she was rocking it.
The reality star has been throwing herself into her work, promoting her Skims collection, and spending time with her family, after reuniting with husband Kanye in Wyoming.
Kim shared videos and pictures from a lake near West’s ranch in Cody, showing herself paddle-boarding with seven-year-old daughter North.
The family was accompanied by Kim’s sister Kourtney, during a tumultuous time for the Kardashian-Wests.
Last month, Kanye, 42, launched his presidential bid with a concerning speech in which he got emotional as he claimed that Kim had considered an abortion while pregnant with North.
The rapper then embarked on a string of tweets in which he claimed Kim and her mum Kris Jenner were trying to have him committed, and that he was trying to divorce his wife ever since she had a hotel meeting with Meek Mill.
However, Kanye has since publicly apologised to Kim, and the star defended her husband and explained the situation in a sensitive Instagram statement.
She wrote: ‘As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.
‘Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.
‘I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions. He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressure being being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder.
‘Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words some times do not align with his intentions. ‘Living with bi-polar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and his creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his dreams have come true.’
Kim concluded: ‘We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however we should also give it to the individuals who are living with in times when they need it the most.’
Since then, Kim flew out to visit her husband of six years in Wyoming, where they were pictured having a tearful confrontation, before jetting to the Dominican Republic with their children for a family break.
However, now Kim is back in California with her sisters, filming the latest series of KUWTK, while Kanye is ploughing on with his presidential campaign, despite numerous setbacks.
Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and Montana have denied West’s petition to appeal on their ballots, and this week, the Power rapper decided to sue the Ohio election chief after the Secretary Of State determined he was ineligible for a spot of the November ballot following alleged inconsistencies in the 15,000 signatures gathered for his campaign.
In their suit, Kanye’s legal team argue that the Secretary Of State must accept any petition for an independent candidate as long as it doesn’t violate Ohio law or find itself challenged by in court.
