You might remember that back in February, Kim Kardashian announced to the world on Instagram that she would be launching her own line of lingerie and shapewear and she’s been dropping clues ever since, posting about her new KKW Body collection alongside snaps of models in the desert in shapewear. Literally, we had NO idea big knickers could look this sexy.
So finally today, she’s properly spilled the beans and given us all the info. She wrote on Instagram, “Finally I can share with you guys this project that I have been developing for the last year. I’ve been passionate about this for 15 years. Kimono is my take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work.”
The reality TV star and businesswoman added, “I would always cut up my shapewear to make my own styles, and there have also been so many times I couldn’t find a shapeware color that blended with my skin tone so we needed a solution for all of this. The third pic is the solution short. I developed this style for all of those times I wanted to wear a dress or skirt with a slit and still needed the support. In under an hour, Kim’s new shapewear brand, Kimono, has already got over 15k followers (and counting) on Instagram featuring a shot of Kim himself wearing a bodysuit, surrounded by models of different skintones around her.
Fans were quick to congratulate her on the launch, one commenting, “We love a queen thats includes lots of sizes, 9 shades, and shape wear ?.”
Others were left disappointed that curve-loving Kim didn’t use models of different shapes in the campaign. One user wrote, “How about using a real natural woman’s body who has belly fat and cellulite. I wouldn’t be sold only because you got the flesh tone right put a bigger model who has real rolls in one of these things!”
While we aren’t yet sure when the new figure-flattering lingerie will be available to buy, be rest assured, we reckon this is going to be a sell-out.
