Kim Kardashian fans have been left convinced that she has named her newborn baby Bear after announcing the birth of her fourth baby this week.
It’s basically a rite of passage for the newest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan to be given less-than-common names – and we are so here for it.
So it’s only fair, and predictable, that fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians are trying to guess what Kim and Kanye West’s son – who was born via surrogacy earlier this month – will be called.
But it seems like some people are doing more than guessing and are spending their personal time connecting dots between Kanye’s hometown Chicago and the city’s MLB team, the Chicago Cubs, with Kim’s recent social media activity.
It all began when, a few weeks ago, Kim shared a teddy bear emoji in a caption documenting her baby shower.
Over the weekend she called her days-old newborn ‘the most calm and chill of all of my babies so far’ but her online followers appeared more concerned with the emojis rather than the touching words.
Although, we can see where these eagle-eyes are coming from.
One pair of eyes took to Twitter and said: ‘BEAR WEST #bearwest … or Teddy, not sure yet.’
‘I WILL BET ANYONE $100 that Kim Kardashian named her new baby “Bear”,’ a user speculated.
Another added: ‘They definitely named him bear… 1) the bear emoji 2) Chicago Bears.’
In addition, one of Kim’s friends, former E! star Nicole Williams, who attended her CBD & Meditation-themed shower in April used the same teddy bear emoji in the comments section.
So could Kimye’s second son be called Teddy or Bear or even Cub – after the Chicago sports team?
That theory wouldn’t be a completely farfetched guess as the couple’s 15-month-old daughter is named Chicago.
Could this all be a coincidence? Or is the internet sleuthing an utter waste of time?
The married couple are also parents to daughter North, five, and three-year-old son Saint, and if Baby Four is named Bear West, he will join his big sister in having a direction-themed moniker.
Kim, who also said she considered the name Rob or Robert, sent fans into a spin on Friday afternoon, revealing her son was ‘here’.
‘He’s here and he’s perfect,’ the reality star tweeted.
She later added: ‘He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.’
Kimye have ‘had a name in mind’ for their new son for a while now, so it’s only time before it’s revealed.
‘They have had a name in mind, but wanted to meet the baby before they decided,’ an insider told People.
‘Kim and Kanye were both present for the hospital birth on Thursday. They are ecstatic. Their little boy is super cute and looks like Kim.
‘The baby is still at the hospital today, but it seems he will be home before Mother’s Day.’
