‘You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your “nice girl” persona,’ Kim wrote.

It came after Sarah had written: ‘Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx,’ underneath her announcement of brother Chris’ death.

She later spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her decision to comment, despite their ongoing feud.

‘If somebody in your life, whether you’re in touch with them or not, [is] suffering for any reason, it’s involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness or just let someone know you’re thinking about them,’ she said.

Since the beginning of the second season of the hit show back in 1999, there were rumors that Kim didn’t get along with her co-stars.

While the cast and crew continued to deny the tabloid speculation, after the show’s ending in 2004, they began to start speaking about what really went down behind closed-doors.

In various interviews, it was revealed that Sarah, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, were a group that Kim was not a part of.

It has been reported over the past two decades that the fed stemmed from a pay disparity – with top billed star Sarah Jessica always paid more than the rest of her cast.

Speaking on the Origins podcast, Sex And The City executive producer Michael Patrick King confirmed Sarah Jessica was paid more than her co-stars, in line with her status as the show’s star.

‘The show doesn’t exist if Sarah Jessica wasn’t the blonde star of the show, that’s number one,’ he said.

‘Kim was not at the height of her career, Kristin was under her in terms of notability, Cynthia was a theater actress and their contracts reflected that status.’

But while Cynthia Nixon who played Miranda and Kristin Davis who played Charlotte were fine with this distinction, Kim, who had a movie career before joining the cast, never got over it.

‘As the show progressed, the characters, everybody grew, it became a family,’ Michael continued.

‘Kristin, Cynthia, and Sarah Jessica became one group, and Kim never joined mentally. Kristin and Cynthia went in the light, they became those two ladies, they understood it was Sarah Jessica’s name, look at the posters.’

And even when given pay rises, Kim was unhappy with her salary – because she knew Sarah Jessica was getting more.

‘I guess for Kim it didn’t matter how much the raise became if there was never parity, but there was never going to be parity.’

With the pay disparity coming to a head in September 2017, Kim pulled out of the third movie just days before filming was set to start.
