Following in the fashion footsteps of fellow celebrities such as Keira Knightley, Kate Moss and Jennifer Aniston, Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer has also fallen for the charms of The Vampire’s Wife. Walking the red carpet at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards in London on March 19, the actor showcased the ruffle-trimmed dress that has been hailed in recent months as a silhouette that suits all manner of shapes and sizes.
Held at Grosvenor House, Comer – who won the Best Female Actor award – wore the Festival black velvet dress with a gold ruffle hemline. The label, co-founded in 2014 by Susie Cave, has seen a plethora of stars wear several designs from the brand for all events throughout 2018. Loved for its easy accessibility, the brand has tapped into an aesthetic that is assumingly sexy, yet demure.
Just like Comer’s character Villanelle in hit-show Killing Eve, she appears to also love all things fashion. Just last month, the actor made an appearance at Miu Miu’s autumn/winter 2019 show at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris. Dressed in a black velvet bomber jacket, paired with cropped tailored trousers and crystal-embellished slingbacks, the actor sat front row alongside Elle Fanning and Alexa Chung.
The second season of Killing Eve is due to air later this year. In the meantime, here’s hoping Comer takes more turns in the spotlight.
