Killing Eve star Jodie Comer was complete goals at the Emmy awards, as she celebrated her success by chomping down on some pizza before getting herself off to bed.
What a champ.
Despite winning the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series accolade, for her role as Villanelle in the BBC drama, the star confessed she’d packed in the night by 2am.
When chatting to Variety in her cover interview about the glamorous ceremony, the 26-year-old laughed off the fact she was feeling under the weather.
The actress told the publication: ‘My voice isn’t usually like this. I sound a little bit like Marge Simpson.’
Describing her night, she added: ‘I was so tired; it was such a long day. I was with my agents and the Killing Eve team, and we had a couple of drinks to celebrate, and lots of pizza.’
But that didn’t stop her from partying with director Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who Jodie said was ‘killing it all evening’.
And we bet, as not only did the Fleabag star win big, she also landed a whopping deal with Amazon the following day.
It’s said the deal, which will see her take on more projects for Amazon Prime Video, is worth around $20 million a year (£16 million).
However Phoebe’s reps have since told Metro.co.uk: ‘Variety is speculating based on unknown sources and unverified information. We will not confirm any financial elements of the deal.’
Talking about her success, the star said in a statement: ‘I’m insanely excited to be continuing my relationship with Amazon.
‘Working with the team on Fleabag was the creative partnership dreams are made of. It really feels like home. I can’t wait to get going!’
The 34-year-old’s much loved series pick up four gongs at the Emmys, seeing it take home the accolade for Best Comedy Series, with Phoebe winning Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Harry Bradbeer was named Outstanding Director for a Comedy series.
‘This is just getting ridiculous,’ the popular writer laughed as she collected her third award of the evening.
‘Fleabag started as a one-woman show at Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and the journey has been absolutely mental to get here.’
