Khloe Kardashian has spoken out about how Tristan Thompson has become ‘one of her best friends’ after they spent so much time together in lockdown.
The pair had decided to quarantine together amid the coronavirus pandemic in order to both be there for their two-year-old daughter, True, and it helped them to work on their friendship, too.
The couple had split up after it was claimed Tristan kissed Jordyn Woods – who was best friends with Khloe’s little sister Kylie Jenner – while Khloe was pregnant, but the pair have let bygones be bygones.
Khloe told People: ‘Tristan and I needed that time to heal and I needed time to go through my emotions. But now he’s literally one of my best friends.
‘A lot of that has been because of quarantine. We spend a lot of time together with no distractions, and seeing him as a dad and how helpful he is, I’m so grateful.
‘Especially during this time because it’s such an isolating time. I’m really grateful for that support and that additional help.’
She added that the pair have managed to nail co-parenting: ‘I really am proud of him and myself. The key is that I had amazing examples.
‘Now that I’m an adult and I have a child and know how difficult co-parenting can be, I understand.
‘You can get possessive, like, “This is my kid!” It’s crazy. But it’s both of your kids.’
Khloe credited her mum Kris Jenner and dad Robert Kardashian for showing a great example of co-parenting.
She explained that Robert would still come to the house for dinner once a week and play golf with their stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner.
