CHICKEN chain KFC has axed its burritos and replaced them with new Twister wraps – and customers aren’t happy.
The Fillet Twister Wrap has also been replaced by the new Twisters – and now they come with coleslaw inside.
There are four new wraps, which are: Original Kentucky Mayo, Southern Sweet Chilli, Smokey Mountain BBQ, and Nashville Hot.
You can choose to have either an Original Recipe fillet or a Spicy Zinger fillet inside.
But customers aren’t loving them.
Some complain the new wraps don’t contain enough filling for their £3.99 (or £4.49 as a combo with a drink) price tag – and many don’t like the cabbage-and-mayo-based coleslaw inside.
Some are also angry that the £4.49 Twister Wrap “meal” only includes a drink, not fries.
If you want chips, you have to pay 50p extra taking the total cost to £4.99.
And many are devastated that the wraps have replaced the Original Recipe and Zinger burritos.
One said: “I went to KFC today wanting my favourite burrito!
“Not only have they taken my favourite thing of the menu, when I asked for the new twister wrap this is what I got!! #KFC #Disappointed #notenough #disgusting #neveragain.”
Another wrote: “KFC has totally ruined its original twister wraps.
“They’re literally all I order from there but I won’t be anymore. All I could taste was coleslaw.
“As much as I love coleslaw, I don’t want it in my wrap. It’s a side for a reason. So, so disappointed!”
One added: “Absolutely fuming @KFC_UKI have got rid of the burrito for that nasty wrap.”
A customer even said her life had been “ruined” by burritos no longer being available.
And one said of the new Twister wraps: “Not sure about new Twister. 1. Losing salsa for slaw loses freshness and adds calories.
“2. purple cabbage in slaw stains wrap electric Prince-level purple – both staff & I thought it might be cleaning fluid for a second. Not exactly appetising.”
A KFC spokesperson told The Sun: “We’re always refreshing our menu, which is why we’ve taken the tough decision to remove our Burritos.
“KFC fans who are on the lookout for an exciting alternative can try out our new Twister wrap range.”
KFC has nearly 900 restaurants in the UK. You can find your nearest branch using its online store finder tool.
Chicken Tuesdays are back at the chain and you can get a nine-piece bucket for only £5.99.
Meanwhile, Morrisons now does a £10 fried chicken sharing platter and it’s cheaper than KFC.
