Kesha has opened up about her sexuality in a lengthy Pride Month Instagram post shared to her account on Friday.
The Die Young hitmaker, 35, stated that she is ‘not gay’ and ‘not straight’ underneath a stunning outdoor selfie of herself.
‘I’m not gay. I’m not straight. I don’t know what I am. I love people,’ the songstress wrote in the caption, adding, ‘I refuse to be anything, really, except for open to it all.’

The beauty went on: ‘I love people because we are all our own little consciousness journeys, dancing around the sun.’
She continued to ponder the mysteries of life, and stated that she would not allow herself to be boxed in, writing: ‘How weird and interesting and fun this life is, right?’

The entertainer added that she realized it could be confusing for people sometimes, but wanted to let her fans know that they are ‘seen’ and ‘loved.’

After joking about not changing her clothes for days at a time, the star – born Kesha Rose Sebert – updated her fans the next day, confirming that she had in fact ‘bathed.’

The singer has previously described herself as bisexual in a 2019 interview with Attitude magazine.
‘I never had a moment of feeling I had to come out about it. It was always there. I think I had a conversation with a gay magazine in the US and they just asked me, “Oh, are you bisexual?” and I was like, “Obviously!”‘ she said at the time.
She also shared a similar sentiment in a 2013 interview with Seventeen magazine, where she stated: ‘I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.’

In 2017 a source told Life & Style Magazine that the couple were ‘planning a wedding’ and praised Kesha’s beau saying: ‘He really stepped up. He’s not looking for fame, and he loves her unconditionally. They’re really a perfect fit.’
At the time the source said the two haven’t set a date yet, but added, ‘If it were up to Brad, he would walk her down the aisle today.’
In her interview with Attitude, Kesha also spoke about how she and Ashenfelter allowed each other to be open with their attraction to other people.
She described her boyfriend as ‘a sweetheart, but he also lets me be me…you know, I’ll call him and be like, “I had fun tonight, I met a sweet girl and we had a really good time.” And he’ll say, “Cool babe, I love you.” It’s so nice.’
The couple were last seen enjoying a stroll on a beach in May 2021.
