Kerry Katona’s fresh heartache as Fathers4Justice accuse grieving star of ‘child abuse’ after ex George Kay’s tragic death

KERRY Katona is facing fresh heartache as Fathers 4 Justice accuse the grieving star of “child abuse” after her ex-husband George Kay’s tragic death.

The former Atomic Kitten star had not been in contact with the 39-year-old since he was slapped with a restraining order after Kerry claimed he had assaulted her in 2015. A source close to Kerry said she had never stopped George from seeing their daughter.

But the singer was still left devastated by the shock news her former partner George had died on Saturday, July 6 after “eating a quantity of cocaine” in front of horrified staff at a Holiday Inn in Cheshire.

She has since come under fire from Fathers4Justice who suggested the singer had “blood on her hands”, claiming she had stopped George seeing their five-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge.

Yesterday she shared two images, the first of which read: “You are allowed to terminate toxic relationships. You are allowed to walk away from people who hurt you. You are allowed to be angry and selfish and unforgiving. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself.”

Today the official Fathers 4 Justice Twitter account responded by writing: “Kerry Katona says ‘you are allowed to ‘terminate’ toxic relationships.’ Yes Kerry, you are entitled to end relationships.

“You are NOT entitled to END a child’s relationship with their dad.

“Contact denial is child abuse. Matt O’C F4J.”

The Atomic Kitten singer and George started dating in 2012 and went on to have Dylan-George.

She met the former rugby league player George as teenagers, but started dating in 2012 after bumping into each other in Warrington.

They married in September 2014, five months after the star had Dylan-Jorge, but split in 2015, with Kerry claiming he had assaulted her.

Fathers4Justice had implied Kerry is responsible for George’s apparent cocaine overdose, claiming she refused him access to their daughter Dylan-Jorge.

A pal of Kerry’s denied she had banned George from seeing their daughter.

In a second post yesterday, Kerry shared an image of a long poem which read: “Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me.

“I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play.

“Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.

“A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

“My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

“Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me… God wanted me now, He set me free.”

Her daughter Molly previously slammed Fathers 4 Justice’s “poisonous” defence of George following his death, telling them their tweets were “repulsive and insensitive”.

She added: “You must remind yourself he had kids who are at an age that use social media.

“You did not know George like we did and to have the audacity to speak of my mother who put her neck on the line for that man on countless occasions when no decent human would is vile. We’re in mourning and people like you are poisonous.

“Using death for your own gain and to increase your following is disgusting. I’m sending love and light your way as it is clearly needed.”
