Kerry said: ‘He’s been a good friend to me and over the last few months we just decided to give it a go. He’s been a godsend recently when I’ve needed him most. We’re settled, committed, my kids love him and so do I.’

The star added that she and Ryan are hoping to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, after a string of relationships that ended after she spoke too openly about them.

She said: ‘In my mind, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So this time I’m finally dating a man who has a job, his own money, and is very happy to stay out of the media.’

Kerry praised Ryan for helping her to overcome her grief after her ex-husband George died in an abrupt, drug-related death in a Holiday Inn on July 6 at the age of 39.

The star split from the hunk in October 2018 after just four months of dating, following their ‘make or break’ trip to Thailand.

The couple sparked rumours of a reconciliation as far back as January, but it was reported Kerry was trying to keep the relationship quite as she was in the middle of promoting Celebs Go Dating.

The star has spoken openly about her grief following George’s death last month.

The former rugby league star was said to have been ‘acting erratically’ the night before he was found in a distressed state at a Holiday Inn in Sutton Weaver, Runcorn, in the early hours of Saturday July 6.

The Liverpool Echo stated that hotel employees went to check on George at 10am on Saturday morning and found him ‘eating a large amount of suspected cocaine.’

The police and the North West Ambulance service were called, with George being taken to Warrington General Hospital for treatment, where he died.
