Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is ready to stay and fight for his place after falling out of favour with Frank Lampard, according to reports.

Rumours have been swirling surrounding the Spaniard’s departure from Stamford Bridge this summer, with the likes of Ajax’s Andre Onana linked with a move to west London.

Despite temporarily losing his place in the side to substitute keeper Willy Caballero, Kepa was recalled to the starting XI for Chelsea’s last two outings.

After the 2-0 FA Cup win over Liverpool on March 3, manager Lampard praised his goalkeeper’s attitude for coming back strong after a stint on the substitutes’ bench.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old is now ready to get his head down and work hard to fortify his place as Chelsea’s number one.

The 25-year-old believes he has the backing of the club, and has been assured of his future by senior officials.

Despite Kepa’s recent turnaround, the Blues are still looking to bolster their goalkeeping options with Caballero turning 39 in December.

The west London side have reportedly been keeping tabs on the availability of Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson.

The English shot-stopper has impressed on his two-year loan spell at Sheffield United, and Lampard is reportedly willing to splash £50m on the 23-year-old in the summer window.
