Kelly Ripa admits she’s not talking to two of her kids as they self isolate together

Kelly Ripa got all emotional while talking about how she is finding being in lockdown with her family.

The US television host appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan! via video link and revealed she’s not speaking to two of her children while they are all self-isolating together because her kids are refusing to hug her.

Kelly shares three children with husband Mark Consuelos, daughter Lola, 18, and sons Michael, 22, and Joaquin, 17.

‘I’m not going to lie, okay? I’m going to let you in on a little secret I’m currently not speaking to two of my three kids. I’m not talking to two of them,’ Kelly revealed.

‘Just because, we’re all in the same boat together, right? I haven’t gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. I miss hugging my parents and my kids won’t hug me.’

Kelly started to cry as she continued: ‘I’m like, “Guys, we’ve all been in lockdown together. We’re fine, you can give me a hug, it’s fine.”

‘I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m crying. Maybe I’m just going to get my period, who knows. Sorry, sorry. Sometimes we forget that we’re on [live TV]. Did I shout that, or did my inner monologue come out? Sorry, didn’t mean to do that!’

She said that she ‘feels for’ her son Michael who’s graduation has been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic an for her dad who’s knee surgery has been delayed.

‘Again, these are small problems considering that so many people are losing their loved ones and [are] very, very sick,’ Kelly added.

Kelly and her husband had recently donated a huge $1million (£804,500) to fund urgently needed ventilators to help treat those suffering from Covid-19.

Some of her donation will also go towards WIN, and organisation that provides emergency shelter and runs 11 women’s shelters in NYC, reports People.

They aren’t the only stars digging deep, as Oprah Winfrey has donated $10million (£8.07million) in total to coronavirus relief efforts.

Dolly Parton donated $1million to fund research being carried out to find a cure for coronavirus.

The US currently has over 400,000 cases of coronavirus, with the number of deaths reaching over 14,700.
