Kelly Clarkson – singer, actress and mother – can now add talk show host to her impressive resume as she launches her own series in the US next week, and the promo alone proves our lives would suck without The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The 37-year-old is notoriously one of the most lovable pop icons going, with the pipes to match, and, naturally, it was only a matter of time before it became mandatory to get our daily fix of the American Idol winner.
Well, 17 years after the confetti cannon blew down on the original Miss Independent, The Kelly Clarkson Show has finally been welcomed into the world.
To celebrate Kelly’s covered Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, and nails it, obviously, while also proving she can wait tables and fight crime in the process.
The Kelly Clarkson Show has already been already hit with drama as Kevin Hart was replaced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to become the singer’s first-ever guest. Needless to say, she’s gong big with the most bankable Hollywood star on the planet.
In a teaser from their interview, Kelly told the audience that Kevin was meant to join her on the sofa, but was missing.
‘Because Kevin couldn’t be here, one of his good friends stepped the heck up and I love him,’ the Walk Away hitmaker revealed.
She joked: ‘Because I got real nervous for my first show. I was like, “I’m so sorry you’re sick, ummm…”’
Kelly then revealed it was The Rock, adding that he’d flown home early from his honeymoon for the guest appearance.
‘His wife probably hates me,’ she quipped.
The Kelly Clarkson Show launches on Monday September 9 on NBC.
